Biography

Malcolm McCredie was an Australian cyclist who was active during the mid-1960s. In 1964 McCredie was the fastest amateur to finish in the Goulburn to Sydney Classic race, with the event running from Milperra to Goulburn. That same year he finished 68th in the road race at the Tokyo Olympics, only 0.2 seconds behind the race winner. Two years later McCredie narrowly missed out on a medal when he placed fourth in the road race at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, less than one second behind Laurie Byers (NZL) who finished third.
