Austrian road cyclist Harald Morscher participated in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He competed in the road race and placed 46th. In 1997, he became Austrian mountain bike champion and finished second in the national road race championship. Morscher also won three stages of the Vienna-Gresten-Vienna stage race.
Morscher turned professional in 1998 riding with Saeco (1998-2000), in Italy, Team Nürnberger (2000-03) in Germany, and Elk Haus (2003-04) and Team Volksbank (since 2004) in Austria. Morscher won the national road race championships in 1997, 2002, 2004, and 2006, and also the mountain bike races in 1997 and 2005. He rode the Tour of Austria 16 times.
After his active career, Morscher turned to team management as a sporting director. He worked with Continental Team Vorarlberg Corratec, ProTeam Katusha, and Bahrain-Meridia.
