Michel Nédélec was French champion in the pursuit in 1960, when he competed in the Olympics. He won that title again in 1965 as a professional. He rode professionally from 1963 to 1967, winning Bordeaux-Paris and the Promotion Pernod in 1964. Nédélec twice rode the Tour de France (1964-65), but did not finish either edition. After his career ended he became a director sportif with the French national team.
