Biography

After representing Cameroon, cyclist Dieudonné Ntep later became one of the best coaches in the country. Ntep participated in the road race and 100 kilometres team time trial at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing 23rd in the latter. Following the Olympics he became a cycling coach and eventually became the head coach of the national team, a role that he held for more than ten years. In May 2021 Ntep was killed in a road accident while travelling to Douala with other members of the Cameroon Cycling Federation. The delegation was in a minibus that was hit by a truck on the Yaoundé-Douala highway.
