Malaysian cyclist Omar Saad rode for the national team at international competitions in the early 1970s. In 1970 Saad was part of the quartet that won silver in the team time trial at the Asian Games in Bangkok, before winning bronze in both the road race and team road race at the 1971 Asian Cycling Championships in Singapore. One year later Saad was selected to ride in the road race and team time trial at the München Olympics, finishing 35th in the latter with his compatriots.
