Severino Rigoni was a top international track cyclist. In 1935 he won the Italian sprint title in the years during which this specialty was dominated by Benedetto Pola, who represented Italy at the 1936 Berlin Games. Rigoni competed in the team pursuit at those Games and won a silver medal. As a professional he competed in the Madison and many six-days races. At the sprint national championships, he was third in 1939, 1940, 1943, and 1945. Following his retirement from active competition, Rigoni was for many years team manager of Ciclisti Padovani.
