Biography

René Rillon participated in the road time trial at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm but did not finish the race. He gained some publicity as the first rider to start at 2:00 a.m., just ahead of the eventual winner, South African Rudolph Lewis. However, Rillon withdrew from the race just two kilometres beyond Södertälje, while Lewis went on to ride much of the course at the front of the field.

Rillon was married to Louise Jeanne Boltz in 1912.
