East German cyclist Immo Rittmeyer was a member of the mixed German 100 km time trial team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, which finished 14th. In the individual road race he came in 54th. In 1962, Rittmeyer won the prologue at the Tour de Bulgaria for his best international result. He later regularly participated in senior races and cycling tours.
