Biography

Swiss cyclist Egon Scheiwiller competed on both the road and track for the RV Höngg cycling team. Along with Bruno Diethelm, Kurt Gimmi, and Rolf Bachmann, Scheiwiller won the Swiss team time trial road championship in 1957. The following year Scheiwiller won his second consecutive road team time trial championship, this time with Diethelm, Roman Brunner, and Erwin Jaisli. Scheiwiller competed in the 4,000 metres team pursuit on the track at the 1960 Roma Olympics with the Swiss team being eliminated in the first round after losing to France.
