Biography
Road cyclist Siegbert Schmeißer competed in the individual road race at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, but did not finish the race. The same year he won the Tour of the GDR and in 1977 won the Tour of Bulgaria. In 1977 and 1978 Schmeißer competed in the Peace Race (Friedensfahrt).
