Tarit Kumar Sett is considered one of the pioneers of Indian cycling. He was on the Indian team at the 1951 Asian Games in Delhi as well as at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Kumar Sett also rode in the Peace Race in Warsaw in 1954 and in Berlin in 1956.
