In 1972 cyclist Shue Ming-Fa was part of Chinese Taipei’s small delegation of athletes to compete at the München Olympics. Shue participated in the road race at the Games but did not finish the course. He had better success in the velodrome, placing 27th in the track time trial, in addition to riding in the sprint event.
