Biography

Amar Singh Sokhi was an Indian road and track cyclist who was active during the 1960s, becoming a two-time national individual pursuit champion. In 1960 Sokhi competed at the UCI Road World Championships in Sachsenring, East Germany. Four years later he was part of the Indian cycling delegation that competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, riding in the team time trial on the road, and the individual and team pursuit events in the velodrome. After his cycling career Sokhi became a coach and official, including organising the cycling events at the 1982 Asian Games.
