Biography

Albert Taillandier was a top track racer from 1898-1910, always competing as an amateur. He represented the Union Vélocipédique de Saint-Maur for most of his career, but in 1899-1900 was riding for the Association Vélocipédique Internationale. In addition to his Olympic title, Taillandier’s major victory came in 1900 when he won the Grand Prix de Paris for amateurs. He would later place third in 1906 at the French Championship in the sprint.
