French cyclist Georges Naisse won the amateur road race championships in 1934 and 1936. These results earned Naisse a spot on the Olympic team for the road race at the 1936 Berlin Games but he did not start the event. One year later he turned professional, with his best result coming at the 1939 edition of Paris–Nice, winning the third stage of the race. Naisse also rode in the Tour de France in 1938 and 1939, finishing 19th at the latter. He continued to ride after the war before retiring in 1949.
