Peter Weibel was a road cyclist who participated in the individual road races at the 1972 München and 1976 Montréal Olympic Games. In München he finished 68th and in Montréal was 46th. He was also a member of the West German road time trial team that finished unfortunate fourth in Montréal. In 1974 Weibel finished fifth at the Amateur World Championships.
He later became a cycling coach, and was a member of the German national team. In 2007, he was suspended due to doping irregularities. Weibel subsequently helped his son develop his own bicycle shop. In 2017 Peter Weibel died from cancer.
