From 1965 to 1968 Danish boxer Christian Larsen won all the titles in Denmark and Jutland in the light-middleweight division. His performances earned him a spot at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics where he beat Albert Menduni of France before losing to the Ugandan fighter David Jackson. The following year he made his professional début in Idraetsparken where he won his first fight. He had 28 fights as a professional, losing only two of them, along with two draws, before retiring in 1973 following an elbow injury. Larsen then began to coach at Lindholm BK but left in 1980 over a dispute regarding the training methods used by the Danish Amateur Boxing Union. Outside of boxing he was a trained machinist and worked at the shipyard in Aalborg until his retirement.
