Juan Carlos Brigo, at the age of 20, was the youngest of the 16 players chosen for the first ever Argentine Olympic field hockey squad to compete at the 1948 Olympic Games in London. He was one of two members selected from Club Atlético Quilmes, alongside Luis “Chelo” Bianchi. He did not score any points in the tournament, and the team did not advance past the preliminary round, finishing with a record of 1-1-1.
