Biography

Little is known about Henry Terry. Although he appears to have been of British heritage and a member of the British combined team made up of players from the Union Club and the Standard Athletic Club, he played for Union des Sociétés Français de Sports Athletiques against Devon and Somerset Wanderers in the 1900 Olympics. However, his contribution was minimal as he scored just two runs in the first innings and one in the second, in a humiliating defeat for the French team. Despite only scoring three runs, he can claim to have been only one of five of the 12 French batsmen to score runs in both innings.
