Pierre de Jumilhac was a racehorse owner and breeder. Two of his best known horses were Maguelonne, who took part in the 1928 Aintree Grand National, which was won by the legendary Tipperaray Tim at odds of 100-1 in a race that saw just two of the 42 starters finished the race. Another of his top horses was the flat racer Grapillon who entered the 1929 Cambridgeshire at Newmarket. Jumilhac’s only known polo victory came at the Paris International Tournament.
