Harry Corner was educated at Blundell’s School and later played for Castle Cary. He was not one of the original selections for the Olympic match but was added to the team at the last minute after both teams had agreed to field twelve players each. He left his native Taunton quite early in life and became a partner in a firm of wool merchants in Wales.
