Biography
Montagu Toller was in the both the first cricket XI and the rugby XV at Blundell’s School. He went on to play county cricket for Somerset in 1897, making six appearances as a middle order batsman and fast bowler. This made him the most experienced player in the Olympic team. Toller also played occasionally for Devon. In the Paris match, he took seven wickets for nine runs, all of them clean bowled, and all in the second innings, as he produced the finest individual performance of the Olympic contest.
