Karl-Gottfrid Nilsson was a member of the Swedish tug-of-war team at the 1908 London Olympics. The team finished fourth after losing their first-round match to the British Liverpool Police team, 2 pulls to 0. Nilsson was a member of Infanteri 1 Idrottsförening which was the sports club of the 1st Infantry regiment of the Swedish army. Nilsson was born and died in Stockholm.
