Field hockey forward Benno Boche was a member of the first German team to win an Olympic hockey medal, when they beat Belgium 3-0 to win the bronze medal at Amsterdam in 1928. He won 11 international caps between 1926-29. At club level he played for Berliner SV 92, who were Berlin Champions 1919-21, and 1925-26. By profession, Boche was a teacher.
