Biography

The German field hockey team won the silver medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics after losing 8-1 to India in the final. The German team captain and forward, Harald Huffmann played in the 6-0 win over against Denmark in the group stage, in the 3-0 semi-final win over the Netherlands, and also played in the final. Huffmann won four international caps between 1935-36 and played for ETUF Essen. He was in the team beaten by Berliner SC in the 1937 German Championship final.
