Biography

Field hockey player Rolf Wollner was a member of the first German team to win an Olympic hockey medal, when they beat Belgium 3-0 to win the bronze medal at Amsterdam in 1928. He won 12 international caps between 1927-31. At club level he played for Leipziger SC. By profession, Wollner was a merchant.
