Róbert Lifkai

Róbert Lifka did gymnastics and ice skating when he was in high school, then after the inspiration of his brother Gusztáv started playing hockey. In 1934 and 1944 in the colors of Amateur HC won the Hungarian championship. He won his third championship title in 1949, now under the name Lippói-Lifka with the BKE team. Between 1937 and 1939 as a member of BKE team and under the name of Lónyai-Lifka, he also won the ice hockey championships three times.

Between 1936 and 1949, he played five times for the Hungarian hockey national team. In 1936, at the age of barely twenty, he joined the Berlin Olympic team, where he and his brother formed the defensive line of the Hungarian team in the match against Japan.

In 1937, he also appeared in the Hungarian ice hockey team three times.

Between 1950 and 1954, he played ice hockey for the Bp. Építők team and later became the coach of the team. He left Hungary in 1956 and settled in Sweden, where he also worked as a coach.
