Biography

Carlyle Tapsell studied at St. Georges College, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, which produced a number of excellent hockey players, and was employed at the Bengal-Nagpur Railway, for which he also played. He played as a right fullback and was a specialist in penalty corners. He later emigrated to Australia and lived in Queensland.
