Kenichi Konishi was a Japanese national born in the northern part of the Korean peninsula. In 1932, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Waseda University. At the Los Angeles Olympics in the same year, he played both hockey games as a forward.
One year later Konishi became director of the later Dainippon Skating Federation (now Japan Skating Federation) and general manager of the top athletes group preparing them for the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. He also was a member of the Japan Ice Hockey Federation. As a businessman he was president of the company Konishi Sangyo.
