Biography

A right-half, Nil Jagnandan Singh was assistant captain of the Indian hockey team at the 1960 Olympics. He was educated at Ambala City Khalsa School, Gujjarwal Government High School, Government College Ludhiana, and Punjab University. Singh played hockey for Sikh Union Nairobi, Kenya Police and Asian Civil Service. With the Kenya Police team he won the M. R. D’Souza Gold Cup in 1960.
