Murray Day was a New Zealand sports administrator and chartered accountant who was the president of the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association, the Oceania Squash Federation, and the International Squash Rackets Federation.
Day was the president of the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association from 1968 to 1971. He helped to organise the 1971 Men’s World Team Squash Championships, the first time an international squash tournament had been held in New Zealand. From 1975 to 1981 Day was the President of the International Squash Rackets Federation. As President Day had increased the Federation’s membership from 9 countries to 48.
In 1981 Day was awarded with an OBE for services to squash and education. Day also served as the first President of the Oceania Squash Federation from 1992 to 1995.
