At the 1952 Art Competitions Indonesia was only represented by the wooden statuette Sword Dance on a 5.3 cm high base. It was produced by the unknown artist Idegede Petut Gede from Denpasar, the capital of the island of Bali. The carving was a gift from the Indonesian team to Erik von Frenckell, the President of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games. It is now in the Sports Museum in Helsinki.
