Biography

Yvonne Conte was a French foil fencer who competed during the 1920s and 1930s. In 1924 Conte won the Chatou tournament in northern France, earning her a place on the Olympic team for the Paris Games. At the Olympics she finished fifth in her pool, with a record of three wins and three loses, with only the top three fencers progressing to the semi-finals. Conte continued to compete in foil fencing for the next decade, participating at the French championships in 1932 and 1934.
