Biography

Marguerite Reuche was a French fencer who competed at both the 1928 and 1936 Olympic Games. Marguerite Reuche was born and died in her native Caen, although she and Louis lived in Paris.

Mme. Reuche was French women’s foil champion in 1928 and 1933-35, and represented the Salle d’Armes de la Banque de France or Salle Thomas while she was competing from 1928 through the 1930s. Reuche won the Challenge Internationale Bachelard seven times between 1931-39, and won team titles at the Paris-Bâle event between 1935-39. In addition to her two Olympic appearances, she also fenced at the 1938 World Championships.
