Biography

During the interwar period Dutch foil fencer Jo de Boer represented her country at three editions of the Olympics. De Boer made her Olympic début at the 1924 Paris Games but only won one of her bouts in the first round and was eliminated. She had better success at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where she finished eighth in the final. Her last Olympic appearance came at the 1932 Los Angeles Games where she had her best performance, finishing sixth. De Boer also competed at the 1929 World Fencing Championships where she won silver.
