Biography
Rod Steele had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Foil Team (with Ivan Lund and John Fethers), 3rd in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Sabre Team (with Ivan Lund and John Fethers, and the non-Olympian Laurence Smith). Steele also competed in the individual foil at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.
