Henri Davids was born in Belgium and became a naturalized citizen of Great Britain in 1894. A stockbroker by profession, he was a member of Ernest Tassart’s Salle D’Armes in London when he was chosen to participate in the 1908 London Olympics in the individual épée event.
In 1911, he served on the Stock Exchange Athletic Club committee as a representative for fencing. Davids later resided in Hampstead, London for many years, and was married with one daughter.
