Domestically, Löffler won a tournament organized by TV Offenbach both with the foil and the sabre in 1913. The same year he was also the national foil championship runner-up. After World War I, he was second with the foil and third with the sabre at a München tournament. In 1926, he won the foil competition at the Deutsche Kampfspiele. He then moved to FTV 1860 Frankfurt on Main and came third in 1927, and that same year also finished third at the national foil championships.
