German fencer Julius Thomson competed in individual foil at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, but was eliminated in the first round. In 1928 at Amsterdam he was also eliminated in the first rounds in individual and team foil. With FC Offenbach Thomson won épée team championships in 1914 and 1921. His twin brother Hans also competed at the 1912 and 1928 Olympics.
