Georg Vinogradov was on the Estonian basketball team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but did not play in any games. Vinogradov graduated from the Russian Gymnasium in Tallinn in 1933 and then studied economics at the University of Tartu from 1935-43. He played his club basketball with Russi and ÜENÜTO and was a member of the Estonian national team from 1936-39. Vinogradov played for Estonia at the 1939 European Championships and won bronze and silver at the World Student Games in 1937 and 1939, respectively. In 1939 he was also on the volleyball team that won silver at the World Student Games.
Vinogradov later was a member of the board of the Estonian Handball Association. He emigrated to Sweden in 1944 and then Canada in 1949. Vinogradov’s career was in the food industry.
