Biography

Edmund Borowski was a Polish sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. Borowski won gold at the 1966 European Championships in the 4 x 400 metres relay together with Jan Werner, Stanisław Grędziński, and Andrzej Badeński. At the European Indoor Championships he won three silver medals all in relay races. Borowski was one of two reserves for Poland in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, but he did not compete as Poland stuck with the same four athletes for both the heat and the final.
