Truppa was the Italian Grand Prix champion twice, won two silver and three bronze medals at the national championships, and trained several horses up to Grand Prix level.
Truppa officiated as a judge at every major championship at all levels. He sat on the panel of judges at three World Cup Finals, was show director for the 1998 Roma World Equestrian Games, the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, the 2005 and 2007 European Dressage Championships, and the 2008 World Young Dressage Horse Championships and, after other participations at world level, Truppa was finally a FEI dressage technical delegate at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On a national level, Truppa was responsible for the training and formation of dressage judges for the Italian Equestrian Federation and served as a member on the board of the Italian Federation for many years. Truppa was a great innovator in the world of dressage in Italy and responsible, to a certain extent, for the many performances of his daughter Valentina.
Enzo Truppa graduated in Economics and Commerce from the Catholic University of Milano. Author of two publications, he was formerly a partner and managing director of Deloitte Haskin, before founding his own company “Studio Truppa-Medici” in 2005. In January 2025, CONI awarded Truppa the Bronze Star for Sporting Merit in recognition of his achievements during his managerial activity in 2023.
