Biography

Konrad Wallenius was a career officer and gymnastics instructor. In 1893 he joined the Uppland Regiment in 1893 as second lieutenant and was promoted to lieutenant three years later. The highest rank he achieved was lieutenant-colonel. In addition to his military duties, he was for many years an instructor in gymnastics and weaponry at the Military Academy. He acted as a gymnastics judge at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics.

Wallenius married Lilia “Lilly” Helena Olsén in the year 1900; they had two sons and a daughter. He was appointed Knight of the Order of Vasa and was awarded the Greek Order of the Redeemer and the Russian Order of St. Anna.
