Dan Găureanu was a Romanian sabreur who competed at the 1992 and 2000 Olympic Games. He was Romanian champion in 1993-95. At the World Championships, Găureanu won two bronze medals in the team event in 1994 and 2001. Known as an excellent tactician, Găureanu later became a coach with the Romanian national fencing team.
