Zou Wenzhi was a Chinese from Malaya, who made his début in 1935 on South China’s B team in Hong Kong’s first division. Successively, he joined the teams of Chinese Athletic Association, Sing Tao, Jiuhua, Eastern SC, KMB, Kitchee and other teams until his retirement in 1961. Zou was frequently selected for the teams of Hong Kong and the Republic of China. With China, he participated in the 1948 London Olympics, and won the football gold medal at the 1954 Asian Games in Manila. Representing Hong Kong, he placed third in the 1956 Asia Cup. Zou preferred to play as inside forward but also filled the position of defender. He was also very active in martial arts.
