Kamal Etman played football with El Sekka El Hadid SC during the 1960s and was with them when they were runners-up in the 1964 Egypt Cup. That same year, Etman was selected to represent Egypt (then the United Arab Republic) at the Tokyo Olympics, where his nation lost the bronze medal match to Germany. Etman appeared in all but one of the team’s six matches during the tournament. He became much better known as a coach in Egypt’s second division following his retirement from active competition, leading several teams including Tala’ea El Gaish, El Entag El Harby, Mansoura, Shams, and his former club of Sekka.
