Biography

Ramón Eguiazábal was born in the Basque Country and played for Real Unión in 1917-18 and from 1919 to the end of his career. In 1918-19 he was a member of RCD Espanyol. With Real Unión he was in three Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) finals, winning in 1918 and 1924, beating Real Madrid in both occasions, but lost the 1922 final to FC Barcelona. Eguiazábal was in the line-up of the first-ever Spanish international match at the 1920 Olympics. In total he earned three caps, all during the 1920 Games.
