Biography

Armas Eino Lahti played his first international match for the Finnish team as a midfielder during the 1936 Olympics, and earned a total of 22 caps through 1945. Lahti represented Vaasan Palloseura (VPS) and from 1939, Helsingin Palloseura (HPS). After his playing career, he coached Rosenlewin Urheilijat-38 (RU-38), a semi-professional club based in Pori, for a period of 18 years from 1949-67. In his later years he became an excellent bowler, winning a team silver medal at the 1960 World Championships, and also played basketball in the national championship series.
