Fritz Förderer was a German football striker. He played for FC Germania Karlsruhe, Karlsruher FV and VfL Halle and played from 1908-13 for Germany, earning 11 caps and scoring 10 goals. He became German football champion with Karlsruher FV in 1910 and was runner-up in 1912. In 1917 Förderer started in the Central German Track & Field Championships at Dresden and finished third in hand grenade throwing (!).
After World War I he moved to Halle and worked until 1932 as a groundkeeper and physical education teacher, sometimes as a football coach and as a tennis coach. He finished an official examination in physical education, and was later coached Merseburg 99, Schwaben Augsburg, Jahn Regensburg, 1 FC Straubing, Cricket Victoria 02 Magdeburg and VfB Cöthen. In 1945 he coached the football team of Russian soldiers stationed in Weimar.
