Biography

Forward Peter Lux was on the West German football team that lost their quarter-final against Yugoslavia 5-2, and finished fifth at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He never won a full international cap, playing only with the Olympic team on five occasions.

Domestically, Lux played with Eintracht Braunschweig (1981-85, 1990-93), Hamburger SV (1985-87), and SV Waldhof Mannheim (1987-90). In 1990 he moved to Dynamo Dresden for five matches and became the first German soccer player moving from West Germany to East Germany. He helped Hamburg to win the West German Cup in 1987. In total, he played 227 Bundesliga matches and scored 31 goals. Lux later worked as a coach in lower leagues and became an avid golfer, and worked briefly as a golf coach.
